There's an article in this morning's Boston Globe [boston.com] about Wal-Mart hiring a local compnay to re-do their struggling website. They want it cooking for Christmas.

It will be interesting to see if Wal-Mart can make eCommerce work. They've been a brilliant offline retailer, at the cutting edge of data systems and b to b alliances. One of their moves is to separate the web business from the bricks business.

I'm going to watch this one closely.
