However, let's think motor industry for a second. You buy cars from dealerships yet, if there is a fault (the gas tank has a habit of exploding, for instance - it's an MS gas tank) you don't sue the dealer, you sue the manufacturer. In Europe, special rules apply to the motor industry, as, I imagine, they do in the US. Perhaps it's time for special rules to be applied to the computer industry. However, get those rules wrong and small independent software developers could vanish. Kaled.
