That could be a very useful tidbit for me -- thank you. I've got a new client with an old Mac who uses AOL 6 -- which I'm pretty sure was based on IE 5 Mac. It seems no matter what I do for him, it doesn't work right on his browser.

I'm going to assume there's something buggy in the doctype switching and change the design over to quirks mode (I've been going for standards mode and HTML 4.01 strict). I sure am not going to install AOL 6 and Mac OS 8 for testing, unless he buys me a dedicated computer.
