IE is the worst of the worst browsers out there, we all struggle with it. The older the version, the worse it is. Esp. CSS implementations suck, and if you happen to trigger it's quirks mode all bets are off.

Try to reduce the problem by eliminating more and more of your page till you have the absolute minimum that still shows the problem. Post that code...
