I don't have any idea but its really good to have HTML knowledge as its not that easy to gain the complete skills of it.

HTML can be learned fairly quickly; it's just a display language.

It would be better to take PHP as a career option In other words, HTML was past & PHP is future Its also about static versus dynamic, in every battle PHP wins over HTML, and its better to be with the winner

PHP integrates with HTML...have you ever built a website before? You need to know both.
