Page is a not externally linkable

...and when I found the code that handles that part of their page, all the text for that section of the page in the source code window was bright sky-blue and BLINKING! Why would this happen? Is it some kind of code-protecto thing, assuming nobody could hit copy quick enough to catch it while visible? How in the heck does that work?
I just tried to view the source for subjex.com's front page to see how they were handling their scrolling news window...
