Has anyone found how to install this if you have a previous version of IE7?

I tried to install the last update and failed. The install said i still had IE installed, i removed it, which only really removed the links to it and couldnt install the new one.

The same thing is happening with this one, surely MS would know how to make an installer that can update your old installation?
