Have you tried asking specific MMO game companies? Often they run their own affiliate programs, but are also very selective in how/where they advertise.
Doc, it sounds very much like that. Surprised there is no mainstream affiliate program for a bunch of these games...considering their popularity.
Tynon is one I tried emailing directly...no response yet.
A game like this is what I want to promote or white label out.
Think about it, you don't need to pay a distributor to physically make these kinds of games...since it's browser downloadable. Once u get members playing for free, and fully enveloped into the game...you slowly bring in the fee's , or fee based game enhancements.
Maybe it would be better to find a developer to help build my own ....any guidance towards that direction would be great as well. I doubt the start-up costs will be significant. Even if the game is just a minor deviant from another one currently out there.
The only thing i'm stuck on , is exactly what type of online browser game to invest in. shooters, or mmo's / mmorpg's. My hunch is people would be more likely to pay for the mmo's instead of shooters.
