Some networks are more credible than others. Do your homework.
e.g. Copeac is now out of business and had been in hot waters with the FTC recently and heavily penalized. Their website might be up still.
It also depends on the type of product/service you are marketing. If it is a physical product usually traditional CPS networks like CJ, Shareasale, Linkshare, and others are used. For ebooks, or informational products Clickbank is usually used. CPA - where an action is required e.g. filling out form, or providing a zipcode in order for affiliate to get paid. Of course there are always exceptions.
