only you can determine if it is too small for you. I have to say that it does seem pretty small, but if the products are expensive and you think you can sell a good number of them, go for it. I personaly like to look for topics that have no less than 50,000 monthly searches (for say top 5 keywords) and that way I know that I have a decent chance to compete for traffic and sales. I'm assuming you have little competition as far as number of sites competing for the keywords? Anything less than 300K sites in the results is usualy EASY to get top 3 ranking for. Build the site for your visitors and high conversion rates, that is a MUST because you will have such little traffic. Build as many inbound links as you can with good anchor text, that's the key to SE rankings (esspecially for small competition)... and don't forget internal linking, it's important. Make sure you have well organized navigation links with anchor text! thats it.
