Its 1000 word... not 1000 page. A 1000 page article would cost $4000-$10000 on elance.com (an estimate) as 100 page ebooks will cost you $500-$1000 themselves. However, I have never seen someone post a project for such a large article ;)
FYI I paid $90 for a 1000 word article. It was probably on the high side.
