I started a new blog and was #1 for the blog domain name (7 characters, made up word) in a week. Granted, there are only 254 results when searching for the name, but it still only took a week.

Of course, a keyword like "credit card" is slightly more competitive. It should only take 75-90 years to rank #1 for that term.
