I started making enough to quit my "real" job 2 years ago. I put enough back to cover my expenses for 2 months if things suddenly went south, gave my notice and crossed my fingers. I'm not getting rich. I'm fairly comfortable though. I take nothing for granted and I treat this entire experience as though it could end tomorrow and without warning. What I like mainly is the amount of free time I have now and how can you put a price tag on that? I "work" for an hour or two in the morning and the rest of the day is mine.
