Even with cart type sites there's usually a code of some sort that you can enter to flag a purchase as a test. I never spend a penny on marketing until I've tested the tracking myself - it's just common sense.
Yes, or contact the merchant or CJ and ask them how to run a test purchase. CJ only make money when it tracks too so they'll be only too happy to help.
