it takes my browser on a detour to one of its advertisement-filled pages.

Not only did "they" install this unwanted search box in his browser without his knowledge, but if he mistakenly uses the "wrong" box, he is taken somewhere he didn't want to go!

This sort of invasion of private property (your computer) is unforgiveable and I am getting really fed up with this sort of crap! Thanks for the heads up.

I positively despise the way some companies think they have a right to change things in your computer. I treat this sort of thing the exact same way as sites which disable my back button. Never go there again!
