I never had the privilege of knowing Ted or of meeting him. My exposure to him was simply through his posts, but a lot of personality can come through over time, along with the wisdom.
That Ted really knew his stuff is a given, as is the fact that he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and helping others find the right path. That he worked so hard at being a giver, rather than a taker, is a testament to the sort of person he chose to be. Not a bad example to follow, IMO.
I'd love to be as knowledgeable as Ted, but that may never happen. What can happen though, is to follow the example he set - be willing to help, be friendly and professional and share freely whatever knowledge I do have.
My sincere condolences to Ted's family and friends... I envy you all for having had him in your lives.
