Yeah, that's right, the old cantankerous guy gets weepy.

Having given me help when I needed it I thought I could return the favor in spades when I first heard of Tedster's situation, being a Big C veteran and frequent flier, but wouldn't you know it, as usual he was on top of the situation and already knew pretty much everything I knew, with a few exceptions, as Tedster was nothing if not well educated.
I've been writing and running BBS's since '80 yet after all those years it took Tedster to teach me it was more about cultivating the community than just administering the software. It didn't take a genius to see Tedster was simply using his masterful marketing and communication skills in community building at WebmasterWorld.
Maybe the epiphany here, what we take away from knowing Ted, is that Ted was using his life skills as a marketer and not the other way around which is why he was such a success and everyone loved him.
All I know is in the end a good man was cut down in his prime before his time.
