The last time I spoke with Ted he was upbeat, he thought he might have beat it. That he didn't is a kick in the gut.
He was the most knowledgeable person in the business I knew, but it's what he did with his knowledge that was most impressive: He very unselfishly shared it. And the way he moderated WebmasterWorld, showing each member respect, and the way he had patience for the most twisted theories. He was a unique man, a one off. Folks like Ted come by all too infrequently.
