I've learned so much from Ted through his writings online, and in chats offline. I'm going to miss those talks and his guidance in understanding algorithms, but most of all, I'm going to miss him as a one of the brightest minds I know, and such a gentle kind gentle friend.
Ted was always upbeat this past year when I spoke with him, even though he was going through his health issues. I thought I'd been preparing myself for this time....but as I write, I realize I haven't...it still sucks to have him gone....Ted was one of my biggest mentors in my career. Ted had done 37,301 comments in the public forum, and an untold amount of edits. He was our teacher, a professor of SEO, and such a down to earth guy. This past year we've had several talks and I've let him know how much how much we all love and respected him, and owe so much to him for all he's done for our community.
I feel so lucky to have known him for these last 10 years. I feel so lucky for the time we had together.
You will be greatly missed Ted.
