Live near Tokyo but quite far away from the epicenter of Tsunami. Its been many days since the earth quake but I still have not recovered emotionally.
Here are some more updates...
Net is fine for me.
Gas stations have huge lines.
Alot of super markets are empty because of the trasportation system.
All highways are still closed for safety reasons. Every bridge and every tunnel needs to be checked for safe driving.
All Bullet Trains are still not functioning.
All train in the greater Tokyo metropolitan region (Kanto Region) are running alot less trains per hour than before.
Everyone with a car is using the car now and thats blocking everything for everyone.
I just called Fedex for pickup and they said they cannot pickup today and this week. I have to wait for next week (they come twice to my warehouse for pickups).
I also called DHL and they were not sure if they can do the next day pickup. They told me a couple days before the quake they could but not anymore.
Blackouts have started NOW. There will be a 3 hours daily blackout in many areas mainly in the Kanto Region.
The nuclear scare is scaring the hell out of everyone. The media is giving it more exposure than the Tsunami. In fact, it has become the primary news now.
I dont feel like working. There is a sad feeling deep inside and I have no idea how to get myself motivated to move on and work.
All prayers are with those who lost their loved ones. If you got some extra change, its best to donate. Here is a link from google checkout
