I first met Martin in London 2002 and last saw him in Las Vegas 2007. As other have mentioned, his intellect burned with a brilliant fire, and I'm quite saddened to know we'll never touch base again. His comprehension had an incredible reach, seeing large-scale patterns clearly where many of us could barely sneak a blurry glimpse.

He was an intrepid and fearless entrepreneur, easily tackling very big business ideas at an age where his age itself was something of a barrier. It never stopped him.
