Its pretty dreadful I agree but after 30 years of living with the IRA I dont see that the UK population is that phased. Most of those that were in the thick of it acted with calm stoisism and the emergency service drills that had been well practised seemed to work very well.
Lets put it into context and consider that there are many more people than that killed on UK roads every week.
I honestly think that the less publicity given to terrorist attacks the better and we should move on as soon as possible but having said that I was impressed by Blairs Churchillian speech delivered shortly after the news had broken.
