Friday night we rode the street car that passes in front of where you all will be staying. We took it to the end of the line and got on the one that goes from the convention center to the French Market. We got off at the French Market and had some coffee at the Cafe Du Monde [cafedumonde.com]. That's the best I've found around. For some reason you can take the coffee home and brew it and it's not as good. We probably clean our pot too much.

We discovered a beautiful church about a block off of Canal St. on Baronne. Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church built 1928. The inside is worth the trip to N.O.
