Cable was the first broadband connection here, but many people are moving to ADSL connections because for now they are a bit more stable. It seems the cable providers have too many clients, and not enough upgrades. I have ADSL for a couple of years now... What I really want is UMTS (itīs already here, but they charge for kb, not a monthly value). Now Iīm thinking of moving to another house, and Iīll have to cut the phone line, adsl subscription, etc etc
jmbishop, here in Portugal, that is a small country (10 million habitants) right next to Spain, we have cable everywhere, and almost noone still uses itīs sattelite dish (I donīt use mine for more than 5 years).
In the 2š Semester there will be a provider here offering UMTS connection at a fixed price.
If I had an UMTS connection I wouldnīt have to do anything.
