I have updated the main list of Russian search engines and directories with your information and have also tried Yandex, which appears to give great weight to keyword in title when it ranks search replies. I have added info on Altavista, Google, MSN and Yahoo, none of which has presence in Russia and only Google appears to have control over its own web-address. Could you please check that I have understood everything correctly?

I have also added a link to Alba36's list of 70 Russian search engines, directories and major list pages.

A couple of questions:

Your top 10 list above shows Rambler as #1 and Yandex, is not even on the list. Can you explain this, please. Is it just because the statistics are from different time periods?

Do you now anything about the Ukraine [webmasterworld.com] for which we have no other information than the basic stuff?

A summary of your information would be that Yandex, Rambler, Aport and the American versions of Yahoo, Google, Altavisa and MSN together account for about 98% of all searches made in Russia, so that these are really the only ones that we should concern ourselves with. Right?
