Yeah, you'll get some boost from the Yahoo directory. However, if you're interested in getting deep level pages indexed I've found that some deep links from multiple sites (directories included) helps a lot. Usually, one or two links will end up in hundreds of surrounding pages getting indexed. Try to find some directories or sites in your niche that will give a deep link and then get some links back major topic pages that are deeper in your site.
