PageRank is a poor metric to use for making business decisions. A link is as good as who links to that site.
Compare the backlinks of BOTW to any other directory. Many commercial directories game or purchase their links. They know people are basing their decisions on what the PR meter shows.
There is a group out there that has been building directories for many years and with a history of building up the PR, making a killing off the submissions, then either pulling the plugs on the rented links or having their knees whacked by Google then blowing away. But that's how you get burned when you use PR as a metric, it causes people to lose focus on the more important metrics.
