This post is a reply to [webmasterworld.com...] message thread.

I've been thinking about user-generated 2.0 web directories for a while now. I think it is a really exciting idea. Mixing the two worlds (boring links with interesting dynamic content) could be a hit in the future.

I started a project about 2 years ago, which is called <snip>. I have spent days and nights thinking about how we could make a web directory "social". Two years later, <snip> was born. This website is still in the beta stage. I'm planning to test it for a further 6-7 months.

It would be interesting to hear/see your opinion <about a version of Web 2.0 social engagement directories>.
