You could be 'legit' (curing sports injuries, whatever) but nobody, especially not Google's algo, is ever going to believe it. I run an expert directory that matches and surpasses Outdoorman's criteria (above) for a quality site.... but Google treats it as link farm scum just like any other.
Running a directory is like running a massage parlour.
