My advice is to submit and move on. Maybe check back in 6 months and see if you are in. DMOZ isn't the end all of links on the net. It's a nice link to get, but there are much better on-topic directories out there for you to worry about. Submitting daily, weekly, monthly, or whatever will not make your site get in any faster. DMOZ is still active, but it has changed a lot over the years. Most people will say that DMOZ is on its last legs, and I'm sure Google already knows this. Submit and forget. You'll be much less stressed.
