I'll second heini's experience. And also add Teoma and Overture (somehow). It was like watching the sun come up, and the light spreading into each hidden valley (OK, forgive the artistic license). Meanwhile, I must have deleted several hundred "register with 10,000 search engines" junk e-mails, smiling as I did, and working on content and incoming links... "Hah!
