Everything I read online says the most important thing you need to help make your site rank better are "back links". They say the more back links the better, and the easiest way to get back links is through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
So I have social media pages for my business and on my Facebook page for instance, I post daily and often provide links to specific products that I offer.
Yet, in Google Webmaster Tools under "sites that link to me", I never see a social media site like Facebook or Twitter. Is there something I'm missing or does Google not really count this?
I see something in my settings for Analytics that asks about social media sites and I believe that I have keyed in these pages correctly, but I'm not sure how Analytics plays a roll in "sites that link to me" in Google Webmaster Tools.
