I get an appreciable amount of traffic from second tier SEs, enough so that I would truly not want it to go away.

A very rough breakdown so far for June shows:

DogPile 1%
Hotbot .7%
InfoSpace .6% (with MetaCrawler 1%)
Mamma .5%
Excite .5%
IxQuick .5%
Search .4%

GigaBlast, Vivisimo, Wisenut, etc., about .1% each

And then there's also a considerable amount of stuff coming from all those sites that appear to use the same "partner" engine. Haven't dug down to see how legitimate this is but adds up to more than 3%. Referring urls in awstats are all like this:

www.mysearchnet.org/apps/eps/eps.cgi

So it looks like a good number of folks do use these guys. I'll take 'em anywhere I find 'em.
