Once I work out most of the bugs I will move the engine to a server that can handle much more load with load balancing and go live with it. I will also change the domain name to something better and easier to remember. The idea behind this engine is to let the users control the results instead of algorythms. Users can vote and demote pages in the rankings and eventually only the best pages will rise to the top of the results. Webmasters must submit pages manually/individually which seems like a bad idea but this is good because if a page is valuable enough to webmasters then they will want to submit it. It also helps control millions of scraper pages from being indexed by the engine clogging up the results. Hand submissions slows down the scraper spam from being submitted. It has an automated spam reporting feature so people can quickly and easily report pages that are spam or dead links which are instantly blocked from showing in the results until they are checked by the support department. When submitting pages, webmasters will be able to choose the keyword they want that page to be ranked for. You can submit one page to many keywords or many pages to many keywords but ultimately, if the page is not about the keyword, it will be reported as spam or demoted by the users. Let me know what you think and any ideas you may have. Thanks!
I have been working on a new search engine and would like some feedback on it. The test URL is www.vmgo.com
