can't you just amend the plugin code to take the footprints out

Even taking out the code comments, which we already do... aren't we really just fooling ourselves into thinking that we're hiding the fact we're doing SEO?

I guess one of the things we're trying to figure out is how thick of a tinfoil hat should we wear, and at what point does Google consider SEO, spam.
