I have a quick question. I have a business site that has blog which is hosted on WP and having subdomain i.e. blog.domain.com. What I have seen is that blog is receiving wow hits but what I have been thinking is that it is only beneficial for blog, but not for the website. When I used a site:blog.domain.com, it supply pages associated with the blog not with the original website. My question is that if Google treated sub domain a separate domain then how Matt says that the original domain gets the benefit of blog traffic? which is in my viewpoint is totally nonsense. WP is totally a separate platform which is not associated and hosted where original site is? WP only deployed on our server and ran with the hosting we provide. But the content of the blog is basically stored on WP. Very confusing ... tell me if you have any thing you feel about.
