Yeah, some people believe that Alexa is an accurate indicator of traffic. But it is very easily manipulated. If you are not in the top 100,000 websites, just adding the alexa toolbar onto every browser in your office and visiting the site with those computers every day for a month or two will result in huge Alexa gains. Quantcast is much more accurate.
