If you can describe what you want as an end result, and can explain what you are starting with, that should be sufficient to get a coder to do the conversion.
Just be as specific as possible. I you don't say you want navigation links and later tell the coder to add them, then you'll have to pay extra.
The looser your project definition, the more important it is to get a really well-rated coder. The better ones will anticipate your intentions and won't get hung up on minor changes. Coders who are merely competent will deliver exactly what you asked for in literal terms, without applying much thought to your intentions or the user experience.
