Yeah, I can't quite put my finger on it but there is a point at which all the connectedness morphs into being disconnected. Like going out to lunch and its all cellphones and texts and you wonder "who did I just eat with and why?".

anti-social networking; the combined and ongoing acts of disseminating or perusing information online in a non-personal way so as to have no actual social contact.
...it's worse now.
Twitter reminds me of a cartoon I saw with thousands of identical black and white penguins standing on an ice pack and one singing "I gotta be me".
