I still wonder why people use Twitter (or even social media in general). I thought for years it was a hype and would pass by but okay, I was wrong in that. I still don't get it though. I know every now and then some tweets are interesting. I've read about them in the news. But for one interesting tweet you might have to read many more less interesting ones. Seems to me a waste of time.

For news I use Google News and I can't imagine being a follower of somebody brings me more information than I can find on the web myself when I feel the need for it. Twitter is a very limited tool for publishing. Publishing I do for a living on my own sites so I don't need Twitter for that.

I understand that as a twitterer you should select the persons (or organisations) you want to follow carefully. But are there really people out there who can give more then two interesting tweets in a row?
Most people and organisations I can think of following have sites where they think it over before publishing opinions and information. And they also use email and phone.
But the moment I find some interesting tweeters I will make an account and follow. Suggestions?
