I can't imagine life without it - but I'm a lurker - don't expect any Tweeting from me.
I follow many interesting people, SEO luminaries, political figures, comedians, friends I've met through conferences or online, etc.
I find it one of the most fascinating and rich source of material and sometimes prefer it over any other media.
But do I TWEET? Nope. Well, only occasionally and I have no interest in working at it. My followers are all robots. I have no interest in developing real followers. When I have something to say, that all goes to email, FB (or maybe G+ once and a while).
My wife has the kind of job and brain that can do super-multi-processing and I can see how, if you've got the horse-power, that this is truly hot media in the right hands, plus she learned at the feet of a super-savvy media person, and there are rules and etiquette and good stuff happens to people there if they follow the rules.
For instance, my wife and I have numerous friends around the world that we'd never had - and she's presently contracted to write a book - the connection that made it happen was Twitter / FB and her blogging.
Great thread by the way. Thanks Bill for kicking it off.
Just don't expect any Tweets from me.
