When attempted communication from outside our household becomes TOO convenient, I resist it.

Yeah, I can't quite put my finger on it but there is a point at which all the connectedness morphs into being disconnected. Like going out to lunch and its all cellphones and texts and you wonder "who did I just eat with and why?".
