That's not what the article stated. It stated that Alexa data was used to come up with the numbers. Alexa isn't accurate nor it is representative of search engine usage statistics. Don't forget that Alexa users have their browser's default search engine hijacked and it remains so even if uninstalled. Alexa statistics are also a little bit skewed towards webmasters who have the Alexa toolbar installed.

On a more serious and fact-based note, this is good news! I find Yandex (in English) interesting. It is a little rough around the edges, but if their direct/indirect involvement with Blekko means anything, the landscape of the Internet might change. Remember that Google became known after their partnership with Yahoo!
