I'm with you on this, and I agree with kickaxe, in that I'd rather have a smaller list of focused, valuable contancts than a huge one.

Also, I have to wonder if the people who subscribe to a bunch prolific people really have a chance to read more than small fraction of the tweets they receive. Thousands of followers wouldn't have much value if only a few ever read your tweets.
