Talking about this on Twitter now. After reading all the documentation that Twitter have on this, here's what will happen. Let's say you have your own branded shortener which many do these days. If you've already got a shortened link and are posting it on Twitter, it will get shortened again using the t.co automation. What's that mean?
301 > 301 > 200
So, for those of you using your own shortener, or others for that matter, you may want to think twice about posting links that will now 301 > 301 > 200.
I may be misinterpreting the way this works. Someone please enlighten me if I'm wrong.
