I recently launched a new website for my company and want to kickstart a twitter campaign - partly for increasing exposure, and partly because we are now all sure that social media plays a part in rankings.
The company has about 250 pages of unique content and about 150 employees.
I was thinking of kickstarting the twitter campaign by getting some of the staff to start tweeting about the website and posting links to some of our content - as well as retweeting our main account.
My question is this.
Does anyone know if Twitter or Google track the IP address of a tweet. I wouldn't want to get penalised in Google for seeming to game Twitter.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!
