So it is okay to ask for an email, while upsetting to ask for a like? What one needs to ask themselves is whether they have information that their customers seek to receive. As a business, it is your responsibility to understand customers social preferences. If by engaging with willing customers you are providing value then the vehicle you use, be it either twitter, FB, G+, or Email in arbitrary and must be embraced holistically to be most effective.
