It's weird, this world in which an online persona can be constructed by a parent before the child is even born or fully aware of what's happening. Even now, when parents make their kids' pictures public without their permission, they do it with pride and affection without realizing the implications - that the legacy of those pictures and tales will be with the kids all their lives, permanently archived.
I think the law's gonna change on that one. Not sure how, but something. Or else people are gonna have to get used to reconstructing or vivisectioning or fractalling or otherwise rearranging their identities routinely and agree that they're not accountable for their pre-profile identity.
