As an on-off lurker for many years (wow.. I feel dirty now) I gotta say I love that WW layout has remained this way visually.

Aye it's old, "cheap", and the logo probably has seen less sunlight then the latest MMO-addict ... but it's what makes WW a serious source for knowledge. People are more focused on discussion then some graphically flashed-up website to appeal to the strangers.

There's a lot of ideas about features and functionality that are not my expertise to comment on, but if the core design is coming up, KISS method always wins.
