I had to look up IPB - I knew Invision but not this abbreviation. Yes, I can see the benefits of using a mainstream product as long as we can live with the risk that someone will break it some day.

Something said in another thread and this one is part of the answer. As users we can ask for lots of features that would give the owner a lot of extra work. It's a tightrope balancing act keeping users happy while keeping the owner happy too.
